If you are completing your internship in the Master of Arts Human Geography degree program, please use the form for module 9(7). As part of your program of study, you must complete a non-university career internships of at least 12 weeks without interruption (new PO 2022) \/<\/strong> at least 8 weeks without interruption (old PO 2016) <\/strong>(module 17 in the 2nd or 3rd academic year). Approval and recognition of internships in the first academic year or before the start of the program of study is not possible. The internship position at subject-related authorities or companies must be chosen in such a way that it is \"meaningfully related\" to your program of study in Geography (see module catalog) and must be approved in advance<\/strong>. For this purpose, please submit a proposal to the chairperson of the Bachelor's Examination Committee for Geography. Please use the ready-made proposal form for the approval of an internship<\/g>. Please send the completed proposal digitally from your university e-mail address as an e-mail attachment (text in the subject line: Proposal for approval of an internship: last name, first name, student ID number) to: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Timo Willersh\u00e4user<\/strong><\/a>(responsible for all M 17 proposals)<\/strong> Retroactive approval after the start of the internship is not possible. Since this procedure sometimes involves a considerable amount of coordination work by the responsible bodies, please allow at least one month for processing during the lecture period to be on the safe side. 2-3 weeks. Processing may also be delayed during the semester break. Please take these deadlines into account in your planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After examination of your digitally submitted proposal for approval, you will receive the response by email to your university email address. If the official notification is positive, you can now start your internship. The working hours for a non-university internship correspond to full-time 38 hours per week<\/strong>. If the weekly working hours are shorter (lowest limit: 4-day week with 8 hours each), the required internship period will be renewed accordingly (in this case, please contact Mr. Fuchs in advance). The 12- or 8-week internship can also be split and completed at two different, subject-related, non-university institutions. Please note, however, that only internships with a minimum duration of 4 weeks without interruption (full-time with 38 hours per week) <\/g>can be approved and later recognized. Each 4 to 8-week section of the internship must be approved individually (in advance) and also recognized. However, the 12 (new PO) or 10 (old PO) credit points will only be entered once the entire internship period of at least 12 or 8 weeks has been completed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After completing the internship, you must have the internship recognized. To do this, you must submit a proposal for recognition to the chairperson of the Geography Bachelor's examination committee. Please also use the ready-made proposal form for recognition of an internship<\/a>, which you must sign<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposal must be accompanied by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. A copy of the letter of approval for the internship sent to you in advance by e-mail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A dated and signed official internship certificate (internship certificate) from the supervising institution, stating the date and duration of the full-time internship and describing the type of activities you carried out and evaluating them at the end.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. An informal internship report (length: 4-6 A4 pages)<\/strong> outlining the fields of activity of the institution or company and explaining the activities you carried out during the internship and the experience you gained. At the end of the report, please draw a personal conclusion and then provide the address of the institution or company as well as the name and contact details (telephone number\/email address) of your supervisor there. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Once you have all the documents together, please send the signed proposal for recognition of your internship digitally from your university e-mail address as an e-mail attachment to Mr. Dr. Timo Willersh\u00e4user<\/strong><\/a> (responsible for all M17 proposals). Please scan your signed proposal, the internship certificate (internship certificate) and your internship report (length: 4-6 A4 pages) and attach them as PDF documents<\/strong> to your e-mail (subject line: Proposal for recognition of an internship: surname, first name, student ID number). Please make sure that your documents are complete before submitting them, as incomplete documents cannot be processed. Please keep the written originals of the submitted documents in a safe place, as you may be asked to submit them to the committee for examination if anything is unclear. As this procedure involves a considerable amount of coordination between the responsible bodies, please allow a processing period of at least two weeks during the lecture period to be on the safe side. 2-3 weeks. Processing may also be delayed during the semester break. Please take these deadlines into account in your planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After examination of your proposal, you will be informed accordingly by e-mail. In the event of a positive decision, a notification will be sent by Mr. Willersh\u00e4user to the Geography student advising office shortly afterwards (with Cc to you). Only then will the 12\/10 credit points intended for module 17 be credited to your student account and, after publication by the examination office, will also be visible in your student account. The recognition procedure for module 17 is then complete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    General note on Module 17: You do not have to register\/register for the internship in Jogustine. The complete entry in Jogustine is made directly by the Geography Examination Office at the very end of the internship procedure after recognition. This procedure only applies to the internship procedure.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    If you choose the option of a non-university career internships in physical-geographical fields of work within module 10\/11 - Career Internships\/Studies abroad - this must last at least 3 months without interruption (full-time with 38 hours per week)<\/strong>. If the weekly working hours are shorter (lowest limit: 4-day week with 8 hours each), the required internship period will be renewed accordingly (in this case, please consult Mr. Fuchs in advance). The 3-month career internships must be meaningfully related to your program of study (see module catalog) and must be approved in advance<\/strong> and later recognized by: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dr. Timo Willersh\u00e4user<\/a> (responsible for M10\/11 proposals for career internships)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please use the ready-made form of the proposal for approval of an internship - M11\/10<\/a> and later the ready-made form of the proposal for recognition of an internship M11\/10<\/a>. The organizational procedure for approval and recognition is analogous to the Bachelor of Science Geography degree program (please refer to the section above for details). Passing differences in content can be found in this text module. The scope of the informal internship report is 6-8 DIN A4 pages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 3-month internship in module 10\/11 can also be split and completed at two different, subject-related, non-university institutions. The duration of each partial internship is at least 4 weeks without interruption (full-time with 38 hours per week)<\/strong> and must be individually approved (in advance) and also recognized. However, the 15 credit points will only be entered in your student account once the entire internship period of at least 12 weeks has been completed. <\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    If you opt for a non-university, work-related internship in the field of media or cultural geography in module 9\/(7), the internship must last at least four consecutive months full-time (38 hours per week). If your weekly working hours are shorter (absolute minimum: four days per week with eight working hours each), the required internship duration will be extended accordingly. (In this case, please contact Dr. Timo Willersh\u00e4user<\/a> in advance).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The four-month work-related internship should be appropriately related to your program of study (see module catalog). It is mandatory to have the internship approved before starting and to have it recognized by Dr. Timo Willersh\u00e4user <\/a>after successful completion. He is responsible for the approval and recognition of work-related internships in module 9\/(7). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For your application, please use the form \"Application for approval of an internship<\/a>\" and then, if necessary, the form \"Proposalfor recognition of an internship<\/a>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The four-month internship in module 9\/(7) can also be divided into two periods, each of which can be completed at two different non-university institutions that are closely related to your field of study. Each period must be at least eight consecutive weeks full-time (38 hours per week). Each individual internship period must be approved in advance and recognized after successful completion. The 15\/20 credit points will only be credited to your transcript of records once the entire internship period of at least 16 weeks has been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After completing your internship, you must have it recognized. To do this, submit a proposal to the chairperson of the M.A. Board of Examiners for Geography. Use the form \"Proposal for recognition of an internship\"<\/strong> and sign it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please enclose the following documents with your application:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
