If you are changing your program of study or university location, you must submit a placement/credit transfer certificate for your enrollment. Your placement in a particular academic semester depends on how many course certificates relevant to the study of geography at the Institute of Geography at Mainz University you have already acquired.
In order to receive a notice of credit transfer, you must therefore present the credits you have already acquired as well as examinations and programs of study to the academic advisory office. To do this, please fill out the following documents and bring them with you to the consultation hours of the relevant academic advisory office (see also procedure below):

The academic advisory office will check your proposal and carry out the recognition for the B.Ed./M.Ed., B.Sc., M.Sc. and M.A. degree programs. Once they have made their decision, you will receive the notification of credit transfer for submission to the Registrar’s Office and the proposal for recognition with an attachment for submission to the Geography examination office (Pia Hebenstreit for B.Sc., M.Sc., M.A. and EWP / Katharina Schuwalow for B.Ed./M.Ed.). However, enrollment can only take place once you are enrolled in the new degree program.
As this procedure sometimes involves a considerable amount of coordination, please allow a certain amount of time during the lecture period to submit your application. Processing period of at least 2-3 weeks . During the semester break, processing may take even longer. Please take these deadlines into account when making your plans. It may take a few weeks after enrollment for the recognition of your new degree program.

Course certificates that you have acquired or would like to acquire abroad can be discussed in advance with the ERASMUS representatives or, in the M.Sc./M.A., with the academic advisory office, and can be recognized after your stay abroad:
