Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz endeavors to make the websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” accessible. The legal basis for this is the State Law on the Equality of Disabled Persons (LGGBehM) and the Rhineland-Palatinate Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV RP).

The websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” are currently designed to be accessible from a technical point of view. In the course of the university-wide website relaunch, an adaptation of the framework layout and barrier-free access is planned. A prior change to the design of the websites represents a disproportionate burden on Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in accordance with Section 7 (3) LGGBehM, so that it is exempt from the obligation of barrier-free access within the meaning of Section 7 (1) LGGBehM.
